SmolenPlevy Principal Kyung (Kathryn) Dickerson was recognized at the George Mason University Alumni Association 2015 Celebration of Distinction on April 23. The alumni association awarded Dickerson (JD ‘99) with the School of Law Distinguished Alumni Award for her professional achievements and service to the law school.
Honorees are leaders in their communities and profession, and embody the school’s innovative, diverse and entrepreneurial spirit.
Throughout her career, Dickerson has received numerous industry honors and was named one of the Top 100 Virginia Supers Lawyers and Top 50 Virginia Women Super Lawyers in 2014. Dickerson is frequently sought out by media outlets such as the Associated Press, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, and The Huffington Post. She is the current president of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and served as president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Virginia from 2003 to 2007. Committed to her alma mater, Dickerson served as a member of the George Mason University School of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2007 to 2014 and its president from 2011 to 2014. She has volunteered at numerous events at the law school.
